Ambient Air Temp - in Mirror AND HVAC?

Does anyone have Auto HVAC in their Envoy or Trailblazer AND a rear-view mirror with temp display?

I have manual HVAC and a rear-view mirror with outside temp displayed in the mirror, but was considering using junkyard parts to upgrade to auto HVAC. (I know - a lot of wiring, but It's an interesting project, thinking about it, and I have experience adding wires/connectors and modules etc. to upgrade!)

My question is to determine if GM ever fed the ambient air temp sensor to BOTH devices.
In the factory wiring schematics, I see EITHER the rear-view mirror wiring (temp sensor runs back to the rear fusebox then out to the roof harness and to the rearview mirror), OR the Auto HVAC wiring (air temp sensor seems to go directly from the under-hood C105 to the Auto HVAC control module.
I wonder, if both the mirror AND the Auto HVAC controller have the same air temp sensor connected, if the measuring circuits of both devices would be offset due to both of their inputs being effectively joined together in parallel by the same sensor.

Can anyone confirm they have both temp displays in their truck?

No reply but I have thought of a solution. I will mount a spare temp sensor next to the first one and run separate wires back to the HVAC control unit when I fit it. That way the circuits will stay isolated.

Being the Auto HVAC is sourced thru the BCM, as it responds to driver 1 and driver 2 FOB, I would imagine it would just be easier to wire the system thru the 1 outside temp sensor.

Its just data pulled from the CANBUS at that point.
