Air pump noise

Great to know!! So now how do you know if you get a good filter before you install it and have to deal with a noise until you change it out again???

this air pump is getting louder on my truck now only noticed it starting every once n a while and would like to replace before it goes out. Do you know the PN from GM?

Moved to a new thread so the tranny one isn't hijacked.

Assume you mean the SAIS pump that only comes on for 30 seconds on cold starts?

You can buy a new one from rockauto or Ebay without knowing the part number.

Or it might be water condensation collecting in the hoses. Have you pulled the hoses at the pump yet to inspect?

I believe it to be the same pump, it is the one under the driver's side seat next to the fuel filter. I thought it went to the engine for the emissions....? Sorry I haven't had time to crawl under there yet to check for any condensation. I found the part number to be 12574379 from the stealerships. This pump noise has just started to give me issues every once in a while but figured I should find out what it is before it gets too bad....
