air intake tube size

just curious what the size of the stock intake tube was....guess would be looking for the OD on it for a coupling to slide over it. reason i ask is i found universal intake and was thinking about modding the stock one to make the universal one to fit depending on the length.... hope this made any sense lol. thanks for the help.
