The general consensus is, performance wise, you're not getting much. Larger pores to allow more air flow, also filter less dirt/dust. The filter is washable and reusable, so you don't have to replace it, just have the downtime while it dries (unless you have a stock/backup filter to use in the meantime).
Same goes with the intakes, more or less. They look cool, can change the sound slightly if you remove the intake resonator and/or air filter cover resonator, but without a tune, the PCM will adjust for any changes, and you'll be running 'stock' within a few drive cycles.
