I have puchased a 2004 GMC envoy 4.2liter with 140,000 mile looks and runs great. I only drive this truck on a limted bases. I will only put around 4,000 to 7,000 miles a year on it. I know when I bought that it had a SES light on. I was told it was a big nothing. We I can't stand trouble lights on so I scanned and found P041 secondard air code. Here was I have done to repair.
1. Replaced the Air induction motor old one was frozen (bearing) full of water. (replaced with AC Delco)
2. Replaced solinod on exhaust manifold stuck open. (replaced with dorman item)
3. Replaced O2 sensor (bocsh).
4. Checked that I have power to solinod (yes), check all fuses and relayes (all checked out)

I the check engine light went out for a couple of weeks and has now returned. It is the Code P041.

I am looking for ideas. HELP PLEASE what have I missed.

Did you cut any wires to hookup the Bosch o2 sensor? Or was it a direct fit plug in type?

If it was the splice type then the wires are connected wrong or loose. If it was the direct fit one then try another sensor. Preferably ACDelco. Bosch seems to have some problems with our models.
