Okay I am not sure what this is so I am hoping you guys can help. My front air conditioning works on levels 1-4, sometimes on 5 but it usually stops working shortly after and I turn it down to 4 and shes back on with no problem. The other day I was coming home from work and it was working on 5, then I started to smell the makings of an eletrical fire, not long after smoke polluted my truck, the smoke came from the vents especially on the passenger help. Im thinking it may be the blower motor resistor. But there again I am not sure, hopefully you guys can educate me on this problem ASAP before my truck is cinder and ashes.

Are saying that the AC stops working, or the blower motor stops blowing at speed 5? If it's the latter, you're correct. Sounds like you'll also need the wiring harness along with the resistor.

Yea once I turn it to 5 it does not work. On very rare occasions it will work momentarily.
