These came on out of nowhere, had been driving for 30 mins and was rounding a corner at 25mph. Shut the truck off and restarted it, lights were still on. Did it once more and the lights went off. 2 hours later drove another 15 mins and the lights came back on when I reached my next destination. Started truck again, lights once again went off and drove for another 15 mins and while cruising at above speed going straight they came back on again. Turned the truck off/on again and system cleared again.... Wtf?

I replaced the front wheel bearings back in January with some eBay brand and haven't had any issues till now, not even sure if this is related to those. One may be failing already, i have a humming noise at certain speeds but doesn't change while turning either direction. Might be my mud tires playing games with my ears. I checked the speed sensor connections and both were tight up front.

Thoughts?

Only thing I could find was when just the stabilitrak and traction lights were on, most likely steering wheel position sensor. Just the ABS light on and not the other two were likely he wheel sensors. But I have all 3, don't want to go throwing parts at this but hunch will be new wheel bearings with sensors.

You could get the codes read from an auto parts store if their scanner can read ABS codes. I have an Actron which does so.\\

My girlfriend's Pontiac Bonniville has the same symptoms you are having when she goes over a bump or driving in rain or snow. The ABS, Stabilitrak and Traction control lights comes on and in the DIC it states to service the stability system.

When I read the codes, it's her right and left rear speed sensors not responding.

My guess is, only a guess because you bought an off brand wheel hub that it's the ABS sensors in the wheel hub.

To be sure though, get the codes read.

What did they cost?

$70 something for the pair.... I know, I'm a dumb ass but cash was tight at the time.

Got the codes read and came back B0035 left front wheel speed sensor circuit malfunction. Does anyone know the resistance ohm number across the sensor so I can make sure the sensor is bad, and not a short somewhere up the line?

Ok, update on this nightmare...

I'm now up to codes...

B0035 - Left front wheel speed sensor circuit malfunction
B0455 - Steering position sensor circuit malfunction
B0244 - Pulse width modulation delivered torque malfunction
U1000 - Class 2 data malfunction

I took apart that wheel speed sensor and found this issue...

The crush gasket looks like it let water in....

I took a wire brush and cleaned the corrosion off the metal pick up strip along with around the hole for the sensor, all the codes are still setting.

I'm going to look at the ground on the frame below the driver side door tomorrow. Thoughts? If they were C codes I would just replace the parts but I have a feeling its a more serious issue and have an extended warranty till the 15th of this month.

Ok.... Here we go.

I removed my mud tires and I swapped the front ABS wheel speed sensors around, now I am up to 5 DTC Codes. I also removed the ground wire below the driver side door and made sure the contacts were metal to metal.

I also used the scan tool this time instead of the dumb key punchers behind the counter and the codes are actually what they are suppose to be. Not sure what the hell they were punching to get B codes, but everything is coming in as a chassis DTC code.

C0035 - LF wheel speed sensor
C0040 - RF wheel speed sensor
C0455 - Steering wheel position sensor
C0244 - Pulse width modulation delivered torque malfunction
U1000 - Class 2 data link error

Soo, the original LF speed sensor is obviously bad because the RF is now coding. Since the LF is still coming across bad with a known good wire that means there is a bad ground issue or the whole hub is bad.

I'm still not sure what is causing the last two errors, but I'm calling my dealer tomorrow and having them contact my warranty company to see if any of this crap is covered, $100 dectable is cheaper than buying all these parts myself. I'll keep updating this as I go.

Man, that is horrible. I have been reading about my girlfirends car and I think because of the bad wheel sensors not talking to her PCM, then stabilitrac can't work since it's can't make calculations which sets off more codes. This might be the case since you still have one sensor off. It's just dominos, if one fails, more starts failing. Hopefully the dealer doesn't feed you bullcrap or warranty covers it.

I have been having the same problems for a cpl years now. i have replaced the right rear wheel speed sensor as thats the code it was giving. i have worked at seceral shops as a service manager and have had multiple mechanics look at it with no solution found. i did replace the brake control module once and the lights went off for about 2 months but they came back on. it is an intermittent problem though more on than off. like the last 2 days they would stay off most of the day the just come on when they want to. any more help for this?

Yea, went tothe dealer Monday afternoon. Only current code was C0040 and replaced the whole hub assembly instead of just the sensor. $410 bill, only paid $100 deductible. I asked about the other codes and told them what I did. They said it was probably a combination poor ground and the bad sensor. They noticed my lift kit and said they warranty company would probably not cover it if they saw it. But they wouldn't mention it to them, probably all the salt my mud tires kicked up finally had a negative impact.

any updates on the thread, i have the same situation right, time ago, only the stabylitrack and its service light also came on, and when i turned the vehicle off they would go, my hubs also failed so i bought 2 moog's on front, everything was cool until sometime, now it has those 2 but now also the abs one. I've been using the truck normally and it works just fine, except for the stability control not working. Will try to check the drivers ground and sensors in these days. Does autozone have a abs scanner?
