ABS and Brake Light on

Hello -

I've got a 2007 Buick Rainier (4.2L) and the ABS Light and Brake Light are on full time - they will not shut off. The only code coming back is the U1041 (loss of communication with EBCM). It began with a bad battery and I replaced that with a new one. I've already cleaned up multiple grounds under the hood, also re-grounded the EBCM to the frame and still no luck - dash lights are still on. There are no other issues, no check engine light, all HVAC fan speeds work, no parasitic drain on the electrical system (meter reads 50 milliamps).

Does anyone have any other possible solutions? Thought maybe the ignition switch, but everything else works right now - no starting issues either. Please help.

Check your fluid level in the master cylinder, maybe it's low.

Yeah, I read about that the other day, so I figured I'd check it out. Fluid level is good and the sensor is still in there tight (never removed). I'm trying to avoid taking it to the dealer since they'll probably charge me a few limbs.
