In the event a hurricane rolls through here this summer and wipes out Quaker Steak, Chris is being nice enough to fatten our bellies for us at a most reasonable price.

Haha dude it'd be my pleasure. I don't suppose it would hurt to mention I can get premium cut 14oz ribeyes for $3 a pop? Haha as long as I order them a few days before, anyone who wants one, I can get it I can see my back seat being packed with coolers now

if only i knew someone with a ridiculously large bbq grill...

I was driving past that area yesterday and realized there is a small park with pavilions across 49th street. The layout is actually pretty nice in that there is a row of parking spots directly across from the pavilion.

Update: just asked the manager abt the steaks, apparently I has then ed up, 14oz ribeyes are $6.25 my bad

well, before even venturing down that road, what are people's thoughts on going to that park and having a cookout?

my thoughts are that since we hang out by the cars the entire time anyway, this place has nicer scenery, and some tree cover by the parking so we would have some shade. the bathrooms are right there which also could provide power for fans if its hot

This meet is very tempting (which would be my 1st) as I grew up in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. I have not been back down since 2002! Might be a good vacation with the wife.

Camelbaks are great for storing liquor or beer! Its nice to pack it with ice around the bladder and zip it back up.
