I purchased a kit, relay and plug with wires with instructions to have all 4 headlights on with high beams from Mr Taillight. I just want to state that I did have a small issue, but customer service can't be any better from a small company.
I mounted the relay on the core support right behind the drivers headlight and so far I could be happier with Steve and his products at http://mrtaillight.com/

The kit keeps all 4 headlights on when on highbeams... can do the same for 6 lights with a different kit.
I tried the diode mod and could not get it to work. I haven't been received well on this forum so I ventured out and found other sites with options. I chose the MrTaillight kit as he guarantees the kits and from what I found his customer service is excellent.
I had an issue with my kit and Steve contacted me and even gave me his personal cell number and on a Saturday afternoon we found and corrected the issue. Now that is customer service. :2thumbsup:
And in case your wondering, I did not know Steve or anyone in his company before my issue...

More than likely, it probably taps into the high beam circuit to power the low beams via a relay. I sorta did the same thing on my old Jimmy but used the parking light power to keep the lows on.

I did the diode trick, no issues here. Maybe just wasn't putting it in the right location. As long as you have the four on, it's all good

The kit seems a bit pricey considering an IN4004 diode only costs $1.49.

I do like that their 6hi mod kit offers a hide-away on/off switch option so you can still retain control of your fog lights for an extra $8.00. Nice to see other options. Never heard of Mr. Tail Light until you posted this thread.

There are a few different ways of doing the 4HI mod - diode, relay in the rear seat fuse box (what I did), this kit with the relay under the hood... basically, end result is what you're after anyway so as long as it works that's what matters! Always good to have options.

My reason for posting was my way of thanking Steve at MyTaillight.com for his genuine concern for my happiness. I was really impressed with his help, especially on the weekend.
I have only been able to get the diode trick to work in one vehicle; my 2014 Silverado. I have fog lights with high beams... My headlights are quad on high, like all vehicles should be.
And for the comment on the kits being expensive... for me it was worth the frustration of trying to get those diodes in the back side of the plugs... :Banghead:

I noticed my 07 Silverado NNBS has quad high beams.

Get this - my 99 Camaro did not, but a 99 Firebird (same car basically) does. How does that make any sense? Easy to make it a quad high beam setup under the dash but still, really weird.

I remember even older cars (think 70's) that had quad highs that were actual highs. The lows were dual filament that switched to a high as well as turning on the separate high beams. They originally came with regular incandescent sealed beams and halogens were a popular mod. Now that was light!

I added a relay to the rear fuse panel in my truck, then I got to looking at it and figured out that the relay is unnecessary and just put a jumper in my wife's EXT. Both work fine and didn't have to purchase anything to get it done as I already had the wire and connectors.
