So I'm getting pretty annoyed that after a couple months these aftermarket housing allows the hid bulbs to come lose and it ends up burning the house. I'm thinking of getting LED pods to use as fog lights instead. Is it possible to get something that wires up to the 880 socket? So that it would be powered on by the OEM foglight switch?

How is your HID bulb coming loose? I ran HIDs in the stock housing with three different aftermarket brands and never had that issue. Are you using the rubber washer that goes in between the HID base and housing? If not, I can see how the HID could vibrate loose over time.
The only issue I ever had when running HIDs in the stock fog light housing is that over time the UV light from the HID would burn the reflective chrome on bottom of the housing right under the HID.

I know leds take less power and is less demanding and im just worried if the relays and fog light fuse would support the led pods if i just use the same wiring.
I do use the washers. But with the 3 aftermarket housings i used it was always tight. Not even sure why it always falls out.
