I know this isn't really relevant to any of the platforms on here ... other than being GM, but I wanted to ask a group of people I trust.

My wife's Uncle recently bought a 2008 Pontiac Montana SV6, but it didn't have cruise control installed. He wants to install it in the van, would it be as simple as finding a control, and installing it, or would some reprogramming also need to be done?

Thanks!

Its actually a pretty straight foward thing, but I would recomend having a dealer install it. That SV6 is a drive by wire, and their may need to be some custom calibrations needed for the module, but I dont know that for sure..

That is the first SV6 I have ever heard of NOT have CC thou.

Thanks .. I was hoping we couild do it ourselves, as I have not had good luck at the local dealers.

I will get him to call them and as about it.

I found it odd that it wasnt installed, but the 2008 is apparently a Canada only year. Any time I try to look up parts for it they are usually hard to find.
