I'm sitting at just under 70k on my 06 TB 5.3 and I've never changed the fuel filter. I read a write up about it on TV and it looks pretty easy. I called the local Napa and they don't show a filter for it? I can't easily look to see if I have one because I have the skid plates which block the view.

Do the 06 up models have a replaceable fuel filter?

Thanks,
Steve

It's in the tank and supposed to be good for the life of the fuel pump...

Interesting. Thanks for the info!

I wish it was replaceable! I wonder why they changed to the in tank style? :undecided:

Actually, it's a "sock" so it's got about 10x the capacity of a canister filter, and since the later ones are a returnless fuel system, the fuel only gets filtered once, so there's also less load on the filter...

In short, unless you're getting gas out of a 55 gallon drum in the desert of Mexico all the time, it really is fine for the life of the fuel pump...

Well as long as it doesn't give me problems, I'm good with it!
