Got the word that the weird acceleration issue I had was in part to this trans code P0752. seems there is a metal band im assuming that helps shift gears inside the trans. Im only working with reverse, 1st and 3rd gear. 2nd and 4th are inoperable. Truck is still very much drivable just need to back off the gas as soon as I hit 3000 rpms then it drops back down then I can accelerate normally.
My questions are:
1. how long is the truck able to drive before there is a complete failure of the transmission system and its rendered useless.
2. If I went to a place, say like AAMCO to rebuild the trans what is the typical cost to rebuild to correct this issue
The envoy has lil over 116000 miles on it and I love her to death, I cant imagine scrapping her just cause of this issue. I have way too much invested into her to sell her to someone. Any recomendations and advise is greatly appreciated!!
