I was wondering is this the right fuse block I need for my 2003 Trailblazer? I have to replace mine after my headlight relay (#46) went bad and melted in the slot (it looked like battery acid was on it).

nfo label, Fuse block w/long wheel base, W/o XUV

I havent tried the junkyard yet because I want to make sure I have the right thing (or if I can get it new I would prefer it)

Thanks for all your help!!!

I agree. That price is for the sticky label only.

Ok, I see the part I need (the one you said was $243). I thought myself that was to good to be true and it was. At least now I know what I need to ask a junkyard. How hard is that to replace? I dont think anything else is damaged. I actually still have the sensor to turn on the headlights because my brights still work. Just no headlights and that socket is fried.

Hi donnaroehrig,

I've had the same experience with the #46 relay melting the fuse block.

Did the fuse block you saw for about $300 (I assume part number 15196420) fit/work with your 2003 TB EXT LT? I also have a 2003 TB EXT LT, but when I look up the part on the GM Parts sites using my VIN, I get part number 15196421 which is approximately $600. Ouch!

Thanks in advance.

I did order the part from GM Parts at GM Parts East | Genuine OEM GM Parts and used item number 15196420. They have gone up slightly since I bought it but still right at $300.00. It worked like a CHARM! Plus it was easy to install (was afraid it would be more than it was). I so greatly appreciate everyone on here helping me with this. I can do engine parts and older cars, but electrical is not my thing.

This exact same thing happened last night. The single prod broke off and is still lodged in the hole. I'm guessing this is an Old Yeller moment and I need to replace the whole thing?

I replaced the fuse box with one off eBay. $100 and came with all fuses and relays. You can find them off salvage vehicles from $50-$100.

I do have a question. Do the relays run warm while the TB is on? F/PMP and EAP are pretty warm to the touch. Not sure if I should be alarmed before I take her out for a spin.

If the coil is energized, it generates heat. You probably just never noticed it before now since you never had an issue there.
