2003 TB LT Radio L.E.D. Function

There is a small red L.E.D. just to the right of the Tune/Display knob. It seems to come on periodically maybe even blinks once and then it is not emitting. What is the function of this light and what does it indicate? I am a bit befuddled as there is no recurring theme to it at this time.

Thanks guys! I didn't even know it had that feature. I bet there is more on board this vehicle I am not aware of.

My Envoy has the same red LED, but it's not for the factory alarm. I know because I don't have the factory alarm.
IIRC, it only blinks when the key is in the OFF position.
Maybe something to do with an anti-theft for the radio?

yeah more precisely it is the anti-theft system of the Radio, not the cars alarm
