I 1st started off with wanting to add some pro audio mids and tweeters to my TB with out giving up space, so i started with the tailgate. First I cut out some mdf and figured i just needed a spacer after much measuring i realized i needed more depth so i bumped it out a little more and decide to try my hand at fiber glassing using the oem tail gate panel after doing a coats and leting it dry i had a ok new shaped panel I plan to re warp it at the time i could not find a better matching fabric but it hold 4 6.5s and 2 4inch tweeters .... the doors are just a sheet of mdf cut to size of the bottom of the door and wrapped i also made a grill cover for the door waiting on ups for fabric to come in to finish but the doors hold 2 8inch and 2 3.5inch tweeters just wanted to share my 1st try at custom panels im sure i will redo the doors again where they look more OEM on the doors

In post #4, he mentioned that he still had to do the front pods.

He mentioned doing the kick panels up front not the doors.

Absolutely f-ing impressive!

If you are a perfectionist and want them to completely disappear inside the cabin, give the front edges of the baffle more taper (router), and hit them with some paint to completely match the interior.

Don't take my comments the wrong way. Your current set-up is F-ING AWESOME!! Damn near untouchable! :wootwoot:

Where are all the amps?!?! :undecided:

I left them squared off because i have made a trim ring wraped in a speaker grill cloth that with cover the speakers and the trim is rounded off also it may not look like it in the pics but the panel is wraped in a vinyl to match the plastic as close as i could get

great work.... curious if you are going to eventually glass the doors and paint? also, with the speakers on the rear hatch being low, are they actually serving a purpose with that big ass sub? i would figure you would want them higher projecting towards you.

overall very nice job though,

yea my 1st plan was to flush the doors and make a screen grill for them also the plan for the tail gate now is just have 2 6.5 mids and move the rest to each side of the box so when the gate is open i can have sounds at shows but also gain my lost rears again .....but also the frt doors are next

Would love to hear it in person.

again great work... i plan on making some front door pods for my 6.5s but thats not for a couple of months down the road. my plan is just to do the 6.5" comps up front and then in the rear doors a set of 6.5" coaxs. bass stage right now bumps but nothing crazy. more of a sq setup.
