17" stocker rim starting to look like crap

The surface is getting discolored and oxidized. The darker color is fine, its just the silver surface that has the issue. Best way to fix? wet sand then recoat with clear?

Mine's doing the same thing...different looking rim though. I'm thinking powder coat should solve the problem.
