Hi,

it is very hard to find wheels for the TB in Germany. Currently I am running on 22's Factory Reproductions. But during the winter I would like to change to steel or other wheels. But no chance to get them in 17x7. I have a sticker in the driver door that my original size was 17x7 with 245/65-17 ... Now I saw some 16's in the internet in Germany. But some good informed guys in Germany made me aware that 16's may not fit to 2005 year TB's due to size issues with the braking parts. Till 2004 they fit.

Is that correct or not. I can remember that I saw something like that in the trailvoy forum 1 or 1 1/2 years ago. But can't find it anymore. Would be nice to hear some clarification. Otherwise would have to find other solutions with Tahoe wheels and some adapters to 6x139,7mm from 6x127mm from TB.

Thanks a lot. I know you guys are well informed and I hope to get a 100% clarification.

Kind ´regards.

Mike

I think 16's are fine as long as you don't have a EXT

That is correct if you have an EXT the 16's won't fit.

I have an imported 01/2005 build LT ... So you are 100% sure that 16's will fit. I know it is not very nice to ask again, but I do not want to purchase something which will not fit or make problems in the future. And will 265/70-16 fit with my replaced DJM arms (because of the 22's installation) ?

Greetings Mike

Imported from where? To the best of my knowledge they are all the same specs...

Check your spare. You may have a 16" wheel for a spare.

Imported from US .... No, there was one 17' spare on it .... I'm so unsure to buy 16's .... Damn, that sucks.

I'm 99% positive 16" will fit. All the I6 SWB GMT360s used the same front brakes 02-09 so there should be no reason that a 16" wouldn't fit.

Hey, sorry for coming back so late and thanks for all the comments.

I got some nice stock rims from Poland in 17 size. I am happy not to have bought the 16 size, because there is not just one finger in place between the wheels and the breaking parts. I guess 16 would not fit. But problem is solved and thanks again.
