I am going to get my tax return back soon, I am currently at 87,000 miles, but thinking about doing 100,000 tune-up. I am going to get a tune from PCM4Less, replace thermostat (nothing wrong with it at moment), place air filter (probably AFE pro dry), possibly replace belt (when does every usually change it ? getting gatorback when I do), change spark plugs, clean throttle body, replace all fluids, possibly replace rotors and pads (EBC), also probably going to get some tow hooks also. Is there anything else I should do ? I want to get a auto-dim mirror with temp/compass will this work Gentex 50-GENK20A ? (might see if I can find one in junk yard for stock one with air-bag/compass/temp but don't want onstar or anything else so we'll see)

Since you're going to replace the thermostat, might as well do the ECT and flush the coolant (since most of it is going to drain out anyways). Also change out the motor mounts since you're going to have the alternator off (if you are going that route). Check the bushings on both your upper and lower control arms, shocks, sway bar links... but's it's only an 2006 @ 87K. I did all mine at 138K in 2012. You're going to do all the fluids so that's a good to go (just remember transfer case was suppose to be done at 50K intervals). Check out both the inner and outer tierods, all four ball joints, change out wheel bearings, press in new ujoints...

I hope you have a big tax return. I'm just tossing too much at you :rotfl:

There's lots of threads about tuning up for this milestone, snoop around.

I did a search for 100,000 mile and nothing came up, anyways whats ECT ? and why change motor mounts ? what are the part # for motor mounts if they are recommended. Also, I thought I had the how-to on my computer to replace thermostat. but I guess not, where is the how-to ?

Recommend searching for "100K" instead. Since that may or may not work on the site's search function, do what I recommend to all folks who need a boost in their Googling skills, and use Google for a site-restricted search like this "100K site:gmtnation.com"
anyways whats ECT ?
It's shorthand for Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.

Change motor mounts only if you have the distinctive 10 Hz rotational vibration while idling in DRIVE with your foot on the brake that goes away in PARK or NEUTRAL. If you don't have the vibration, don't bother. You can find many threads on it either here or at trailvoy.com using the trick I posted above.
Also, I thought I had the how-to on my computer to replace thermostat. but I guess not, where is the how-to ?
Use the trick.

in hind sight, having had water pumps fail on both of my Trailblazers (2002, 2004) at 96-98,000 miles, I wish I would have changed the water pumps!:frown:
