This 07 came in with a crank/no-start condition after the owner heard a clunk noise and the truck stalled.

When I cranked it, it sounded like nothing was moving up top. I already had the tech2 out so I looked at the cam counter, it was ticking. No change in the MAF during cranking so I did a compression test. 2 and 4 were low (120, 110), 3 had nothing, and that plug came from number 5.

I hope I can break this thing down for some cool carnage pics. If I do I'll update this post.

Just an observation.... you sure thats an 07? The part with the oil fill cap is metal. Didn't they go to plastic around 04? I know mine was black plastic. Am I thinking backwards and they went to metal after 04?:undecided:

Gnarly, cant wait for some teardown pics!

02-05s have the plastic top cover, 06-09s have metal. There have been some really really late production 05s that are 06s (new engine, etc) though, a few have surfaced over the years.
