02 TB steering rack swap questions

I've seen some talk about swapping out the 14mm PS rack to 16mm, especially when using offroad. I was going to replace the two pipes on my 14mm rack since the left started squirting fluid but after pricing them at the local GM dealer I'm thinking about swapping with a good used 16mm rack. I was just wondering if the tie rod ends would fit my existing steering knuckles and if there were any other concerns since I don't have a donor unit here to compare. I'd appreciate any help you guys can offer.

The steering knuckles are different. Adds to the cost of the upgrade.

Thanks, I saw the spindles were different part nos but wasn't sure if the boss diameters for the outer tie rods the same. So, if I replace the spindles and the complete rack ass'y would that be the extent of it or is more involved to complete the upgrade?
