    Dead 4.2 swap to 6.0

I know that I'm pretty late with this but...could anyone help with a conclusion to this thread? I've been really trying hard to research a swap like this and this is the only guy I've found that has gotten this far. I'm really starting to feel like there is some sort of conspiracy against...

Catalytic Converter - replace CA with 'none' or 'Universal'?

Not to undermine any advice but, Magnaflow makes a California Legal catalytic converter (in both universal and direct fit form) for the Trailblazer/Envoy. I don't believe that there is a necessity to buy the expensive cat converter from GM. Just as long as the part has a C.A.R.B. EO number.

    Data Link Connector problem.

Thank you everyone. I found a friend with a diagram and maybe with a few beers I can convince him to help me track it down (and with any luck we can also kill my DRLs at the same time). I really appreciate the help you guys give and with luck I'm hopeful that I can return the favor someday...

    Data Link Connector problem.

Hi guys, Okay, I know I've posted this before but it's still driving me up the wall and through a brick with no results. My data link connector (under the dashboard) is still giving me trouble. I bought a OBD II scanner so I can check my own trouble codes but when I plugged it in, it...

    Data Link fuses

I remember a former co-worker connecting his scanner to it once and he was able to read codes on it. So, it did work at one time. However, the car was towed once about one and a half years ago. They would have been the only people to have access to it long enough to do that. The TB has never...

    Data Link fuses

Hi everyone. I've gotten some of my worst problems solved by just reading threads and posts here.at GMT Nation but, I haven't found a thread quite like this one yet. I've recently bought a scanner to help trouble shoot problems with my TB on my own. When the scanner wouldn't work, I...

    Lowering 4X4......

I DO want to remove my front CV axles for more clearance. I've never used 4-wheel drive in the 4 years that I've had the truck and I never will. I don't want them to interfere with how low I decide to go with my set up. I just couldn't find a 2WD version of TB when I bought it. I just need...

    Alternate data link connector?

Thank you for all the input guys. I actually have a lot of work to do on my TB (a little road rash and some minor repairs here and there due to daily grind and travel. I bought a lot of pieces such as new headlights and LED tail lights, a couple of overhead consoles and there's a lowering kit...

    Alternate data link connector?

Thank you for that info. I was actually thinking about the Delco plugs after I bought the NGKs. I'll I may just switch them out when I swap in new coils. I will look into that fuse as soon as The auto part stores open. Hey, fellow San Diegan, Do we have meet & greets out here? Any...

    Alternate data link connector?

Hi guys, I have a 02 Trailblazer 4.2L, I6 and I have had trouble lately since a tune up. I had purchased a set of ignition coils on ebay (bad idea), and a set of NGK iridium plugs. I cleaned my throttle body, gapped the plugs according to spec and swapped everything in. The car ran with...

    Any one else goin low??

I'll check out your website. I am definitely looking to lower my TB after so many years. Thanks, NORCAL SS

    Any one else goin low??

I have a '02 TB and I was considering removing the front axles to go lower than 2 inches. I read that a two inch drop in the front requires DJM upper control arms because of alignment issues. My TB sits really high and even more so in the rear. I'm not an off road guy. I'm strictly street. I...

    4.2L vacuum line diagram?

Iv'e been looking around for a vacuum line diagram for a 4.2L I6 and I can't seem to find one. Can someone let me know where to find one? I bought my TB used and I thought they came from the factory with a sticker somewhere under the hood (like the old models). My TB doesn't have it and I...
