Not sure the proper Name for this, Rear Axle upper Trailing/control Arm is completely corroded. I knew this looked like it was rusting out but was doing breaks outside during wet snow and all the mud and dirt on it is washed off and you can see the crack all the way back to the frame.
The right side is perfect, this one looks like if I hit it with a hammer it would just crumble.
Are there parts replacements to weld in place or this is only a fabrication weld resolve?

2nd picture I shined a flashlight into the bracket you can see the light coming out of a big hole but not the crack as too much sand is still in it.

A body shop is going to grind off the front plate and weld a piece back on.
I will post pics of it so others can see

I know that us in the north suffer the ravages of overuse of salt on roads, it's really bad when a major mount point like this rusts through.

yeah I am not even sure the salting for snow corroded this as the other side looks pretty solid.
Dude charged $200 labor to rebuild it. I'll get a pic soon as it stops snowing... probably already rusting again! not much I can do since this car is parked outside and its snowing again...

Looks like it was repaired well. I can't tell it's been fixed because of the new rust
