NEED HELP Trying to figure out how to attach this?

So I just got my new front grille in. I'm putting all the clips on and then come to these round I guess "nuts" and I can not for the life of me figure out how to properly attach them. I know that you're suppose to use 2 of them to attach the run through headlights cross member to the actual grille, but I can't seem to get them to fasten down tight. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what .

What size socket did you use?

I don't remember... 10, 13 maybe...


Just went and checked... 10mm fits

I usually just put a socket over the dome side and push them straight on. the socket keeps even pressure while pushing on it. I've never screwed one on, but do un screw to get them off.

Edit: a deep socket, that mounting post looks long.

Thanks for the advice. I was able to get it pretty secure for now. Might bring home some tools from work tomorrow so I can tighten it up some more. Hopefully with the clips itll secure pretty nicely to the TB.
