Not new but, new to me. Spain did what Gm should have done....put a 6.2 LS engine in these beauties. The video is a little crude but, you'll get the point...Mike.

You look at the comments and they basically call it a rebodied Solstice with a V8 conversion. Heck, they even used the stock GM radio and HVAC controls. Yeah, GM doesn't have the balls to build such a beast. They even had a nice prototype of a Buick GNX using a Rainier and 5.3 with a blower and didn't go with it.

Here's what happened: "Kappa production ended with General Motors' bankruptcy in July 2009. The Kappa platform though, was sold to Spanish Car maker, Tauro, who now use the chassis for their production Tauro V8."

As for that GNX abort....IMO, GM is overly cautious to release anything for production that might be a threat to the Corvette's claim as the "top dog" ...Mike.

Overly cautious is right as it would not be an SUV that could even think of threatening the 'Vette. Sure it would have been fast but nowhere near the 'Vette's supremacy.

That's a legitimate point that you make and no doubt closer to the truth. I'm more skeptical of GM as they have always displayed an obvious pecking order in their offerings wether they be models, brands or even options.
