Service 4WD light

Have a 2002 Trailblazer, disconnected the battery to change the starter. After I connected the battery and started the car, the light is now on.

Any ideas why?

2002 is almost always a bad first revision TCCM. Buy a used one from a 2003+ model year and profit.

Confirm this by telling us what the lamps on the 4WD mode control switch do when first powered up.
