I just had a tune done, so I'll update this thread along as I get some numbers. So far, my city mileage is right where it usually is for the summer. The tune sure "pepped" things up, tho!

I notice if I drive "normal" around town I get around 14-16 and highway about 18-20. Time to clean the maf, air filter change and see if I can do better. Plugs and cats after that.

First around town fill up since the tune and I got 14.2 mpg. DIC said 14.3. It has always been within a tenth (rounded sometimes!), so I tend to trust it now. This was my normal drive 3 miles to work, drive 3 miles back home for lunch, drive 3 miles back to work and then drive 3 miles home, go to church on Sunday (1 mile), run over to the in-law's (3 miles) a couple of times, so pretty much my normal routine.

156,700 miles, 3.73 rear gear.

14.3 mpg on this tank. That included pulling a trailer and my mom's car for about 40 miles and just the trailer for about 60 miles. A few miles of highway driving without the trailer helped. DIC showed 13.9. This is the first time it has been off by more than 0.2 that I can remember.

Winter gas switchover. Lost 1 mpg around town. DIC shows 12.6 right now.

Hi, new here, been scrolling the forum since I got my Trailblazer 2 months ago, but anyway.

'08 5.3 4x4 SWB 111,xxx miles

I do about 50/50 city/highway and averge 16-17 if I keep my foot out of it. With a heavy foot in town, I get 15ish.

2 weeks after I bought it, I took a spur of the moment trip to Virginia Beach with my Fiancé (about 8 hours from home, one way) we took the long way and went up and over the mountains on the way there and then the highways on the way back. Running around down at the beach and the drives up in the mountains and insterstates, I managed 24.7mpg the whole trip.

The guys pulling low teens worry me. Lol

That seems about right, I'm getting a consitant 16.5 mostly rural driving and I have my AFM disabled. Haven't really taken any long trips so I can't say how that would effect my mpg...but hey!..their practically giving gas away now

C-Ya,
I have 3.42s
That would have been my guess. Who'da thunk lower cruise RPM's would net better mileage?

I had a 2005 sierra crew 5.3 that got 20 mpg all day? Something has got to be wrong...
Platform wide and across multiple years if so.

I think that it's just the way it is.

P.S. Emptied the first tank that was partially winter blend and filled with straight winter blend. Holding a fantastic 10.2 mpg right now according to DIC.
