According to what I've seen on youtube about removing water pump on 2003 trailblazer I'll need to disconnect the transmission lines just below the power steering pump in order to remove the radiator shroud. There are 2 lines and jiffy connectors(e-clips) and I don't understand how the connectors work or how to disconnect them. Has anybody had experience with them?

but you really do not need to disconnect the trans cooler lines.

if you are careful, you can move them a bit, pop them out of the fan shroud, and make room to slide the shroud with fan up.

you want to be careful not to bend them, if they are rusty, you could hasten a leak.

my lines were so rusted at that mid-tube joint, I cut them when replacing.

Same way I did it, bit more time consuming.
