how to stop emails every time i read forums

dont know if i have something set wrong ..but get email on all my forums read ...any help would be great

click on SETTINGS (upper right, next to log out)
then on left side of page, go to my settings, then my account, then general settings.
look for messaging and notifications and default thread subscription mode.
change that to " through my control panel only"
that should stop the e-mails for every reply.

What he said will work too, but I've turned off instant email notifications for you. Your subscriptions can still be found in that same place though.
