Engine parts interchangeable with 2006 4.2

I need a little help I am getting conflicting information and I figured I would get the right answer on here.I have a 2006 trailblazer with a 4.2 what internal engine parts can be used as far as years.I heard just 2006 and 2007 but some locals are saying 2000-2007. Any info greatly appreciated!

Depends on what parts u need. Most of the parts from an i6 2006 -2007 CAN BE swapped.
