You seem to have an extra resonator in your exhaust that I don't have. I have just pipe from the cat to the rear axle and then the muffler behind the axle.

Is there any way to cut at both ends of the resonator in a way that you could put couplings on it later to put it back together?

The alternative may be to cut the resonator out and replace it with a piece of pipe, are the inlet and outlet aligned or offset?

Offset..but i can get to the bolts from here..are they pressed in here or screwed in. Tried banging on it but that accordion area here just makes it bounce back and forth..worst case ill just drill them out

That's actually the muffler between the cat and rear axle, then that's the resonator at the tailpipe. Yours must be loud with just a resonator.

Looked under the vehicle and I do have a muffler and a resonator. I would have sworn there was nothing before the tail pipe. I must be getting old fart memory.

I wasn't able to reply earlier, but I'm going to strongly speculate that your cat is not the issue. I don't see how you can go from zero motion to driving it away normally with a bad cat.

It sounds like you have something sticking in the trans, either a solenoid, valve, not sure. Could also be a loose connection, check the wire harness at the trans.

Do you have a Reduced Engine Power light?

@gmcman no reduced engine light..it seems to operate normally at cold temperature..or if i let it sit a while..just one more nut and ill get the cat off so no big deal..ill use that inspection camera to get in there and see whats up..only reason im leaning towards the cat is because of the 02 readings and i dont have a thermometer (gotta get one) but the area before the cat i couldn't touch it for not even a 1/2 a second and after the cat i could hold for about 2 seconds..isnt it supposed to be way hotter after cat

If the cat lights off, it should be a good 100-ish deg higher. I'm not saying the cat isn't showing its age, but you were saying it had ZERO motion at one point, not moving, then you could drive it normally.

Sounds like you need another pressure test at the trans when it acts up.

Do you have a frozen or sticking brake?

Brakes are fine..wasnt zero movement..it would move but pedal to floor no acceleration..like its only moving on idle power..and then when it sits for a while or next morn it'll drive normal for about 10 minutes then condition returns

Wow, definitely an odd situation. When it acts up, try blocking the exhaust with a rag and see if you have a forceful exhaust flow.

Forgot to mention, when it's acting up have you confirmed the transmission fluid level is full with engine idling?

Might not hurt to put a new filter in it the next time you have the pan off.

So that sounds like the code he got is right, it's starting off in 4th gear when the shifter is in D. The result of a solenoid B stuck OFF?

I suppose that's possible, sounds like he either has 2nd or maybe 4th from a start. Hard to say, since wish I knew more about what speed has to be met to engage 4th.

Also the band is for 2nd and 4th, so if it gets stuck, (the servo under the side cover where the vette servo would go) that would explain the very sluggish acceleration in D or 1.

@MRRSM momma didnt raise no fool..hell no..i would probably be posting from the hospital or the afterlife right now if i only had that jackstand (which ive been trying to return for the new ones for months now but they never have them)..the only reason its there is i jacked the front up off the ramp for a minute to take off the tire to get to the top mani bolt thru the wheel well..that didnt work..had to go from under with the wobble socket adapter and long ratchet extension..just never removed the jackstand when i put the wheel back on and lowered it back on the ramp..thanks for the lookout and the early morning chuckle though..had me laughing there...sun should be up soon and gonna get on it

@MRRSM absolutely not insulted in the least..i really appreciate you looking out for me.i would do the same for anyone..it would be wrong not to say something if you see something hazardous.. the only reason i laughed is because i realized that the first pics didnt have the ramps in view..thats why i took the wider shots and posted them..sorry if my last post sounded like i was offended..sentiment is often diffucult to express via text/post..gratitude and apprectiation is what i intended in that regard..thanx again

Man, only thing that comes to mind is if you stood up quickly and got lightheaded, could be dehydration.

Hope you feel better.

Can i wash it out with the pressure washer?how brittle us that stuff?will the pressure washer destroy it?or should i just seal off one of the ends and the 02 sensor hole and fill it up with some soapy water or some chemial mixture and let it sit overnight night?
