Sad to say, we donated the XUV to breast cancer research and ended up getting a 3.6l Malibu for now until we pick up the Ford Explorer Ecoboost before the winter hits.

I still have the XUV tailgate hinge DIY I still need to put together and upload, but hopefully the next project vehicle will have a 4.2L in it when I build the frame. It's either that or an Audi motor, but I will still lurk around here and there.

Sadly, more of these trucks are headed this way. At least it went to a good cause. If you ever get back into a GM truck, we'll be here :smile:

I'd say - just from hearing stories about Audi - that you should stick with the 4.2L. Audi stuff are just expensive to maintain and expensive to fix when broken. the 4.2L being a GM engine is less likely to be a hassle and expensive thing!
