A guy that I work with has a 2004 k1500 4x4 auto trans 5.3 engine 135k miles. The 4x4 selector went into 4lo when he started the truck last weekend. He pulled the fuse. Waited 5 minutes and put it back in. Now its in 2wd and it won't go into 4wd. He used a voltmeter and has power at the plug on the tccm. Fluids were changed at 100k. Does this sound like an encoder issue? Is there a disconnect on the front axle of the full size trucks?
