4.2 2003 heater hose

Is there a way to get the heater hose out that runs from the heater core over behind the engine to drivers side. Do i need to remove skid plates?

I have a leak in the area and looking to repair. I cant find where it connects on drivers side. Heard that the original hose might not be available.
