Since there are so many pages in the other threads with pix scattered here and there, I figured I'd make a new thread with all the pix i took of the meet, museum, and hotel (i feel like Carlton being the photo guy of the group ) I must warn you, there are a lot of pix lol...
Overall, this was a trip that I needed. Regardless of the lack of participants, or the drama and drunken stupidity, i needed to get away from Ohio and have some fun with the friends I've made throughout the years. With that being said (and i say this on behalf of other members as well since some of us talked about this), this was the lowest turnout for a meet that I've ever been to in my 5 years of owning my SS and attending meets. It was actually not as fun as i expected, or i should say, not as much fun that I'm used to in attending the meets of past. I'm not sure if the platform is just dying off and people are no longer as active and into meets, or if it's just family, life, careers, etc... taking over and there are only a few of us left who enjoy the meets and schedule for them accordingly. We only had 9 trucks show up for the meet (usually we have upwards of 20-30 trucks for the big Midwest Meet) with a couple of others straggling in for dinner, or hotel parking lot festivities.
Special thanks go out to the following people...
Jeff for allowing me to stay at his house the 3 nights since he knew i lost my job and couldn't afford a Hotel.
Matt (Regulator) for planning this meet and museum tours (awesome learning about the history of wars!)
Matt (aussie Matt ) for cooking all of the food on the grill, and everyone else who brought something to the meet to allow it to be the success it was
onto the pix!
I wont post all 56 pix i took of the museum, but you get the idea.
