My usual suggestions for GM & GMC Owners are to be suspicious of "Under-Hood Vermin Chewing Wiring" if their vehicles suffer from inexplicable sudden engine stoppage and no restarts to look around for Mice setting up home under the Hood in the Engine Compartment. In many cases, SUV and Truck Motors that have been recently run and shut down normally just before a Serious Overnight Cold Spike will attract Rodents to all that Residual HEAT.
And then there is THIS other possibility to also consider investigating with Bright Flashlight and a Magnifying Glass:
Suspect Area - UBEC Fuse Box - Underside Fuse Blocks (MUST Drill Out Fasteners)
Actions Needed - Unbolt the Fuse Box Top and Invert it on a Bench to Drill-Out Bolts.
Tools Needed - Metal Pick, Lighted Probe and a DMM set to Continuity..
What to DO? - Check the Underside Nested Copper Traces for Continuity.
Repair Actions - Hand Solder any Broken Copper Traces.
If you see any signs of Rodent Infestation, Feces, Dried Urine, Damaged Wires or Nesting Areas... Use Eye Protection, M11 Nitrile Gloves and an N-95 Face Mask to avoid inhaling Dust infected with The HANTA Virus that Kills 40% of anyone infected with this Deadly Disease called HPS. Avoid Using Compressed Air, Use 5% Bleach & Water on Rags to Clean Surfaces.
