I picked up this TB with a blown up front diff (ran out of fluid). I picked up a set of TBSS axles and had them completely gone through. They got new bearings, seals, Yukon 4.56s, Rear True Trac and an AWD axle disconnect assembly.

Next was the exhaust. Speed Engineering makes some stainless steel long tube headers for the Trailblazer SS. Since my Trailblazer has the 5.3 in it, those headers would work, so I picked up a set. I also picked up their true dual x-pipe setup for a 1999-2019 Silverado.

Speed Engineering Headers with new O2s.

Driver's side went in without a hitch. Passenger side was a pain.

Headers, solid motor mounts, new spark plugs, new wires and new battery installed.

With things up top done for now, I moved on to the bottom of the vehicle. The unmodified x-pipe setup did not originally fit.

All I had to do to make the x-pipe fit was to take 1.5" of tubing out in the crossover pipe.

After the X-Pipe, I needed the exhaust to move just slightly closer to the center of the vehicle to clear a crossmember. After that, it just went straight to the Borla XR-1s. The safety wire is just temporary until I finish the exhaust.

For the front lift, I was originally wanting to install Bilstein 5100s but they were back ordered (I have a set ready for install now). So, I temporarily went with a Supreme Suspension strut spacer. For the rear, I went with some Tahoe Z71 springs.

Evidently I don't have any pictures of my strut spacers. :hopeless: While installing the spacers, I noticed my driver's side inner tie rod was bent.

So, I decided to do the 2500 tie rod mod. Removed the boot from the new inner tie rod.

As stated above, I wanted just a little flash, so I decided to powdercoat whatever wheels I got. I ended up going with Vision HD 85 Wheels 16"x8" with 4" Backspace with Toyo Open Country M/Ts in LT285/75R16 (33X11.50R16).

Back from the powdercoater.

My original headlights were pretty fogged over and I had a broken tail light, so I decided to replace them all. I originally got some Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 LED headlight bulbs for my low beams, but they did not fit the Trailblazer housing. I'm debating about modifying or just leaving my halogen headlight in. For my high beams, I retrofitted some Morimoto LED projectors.

My new headlights after retrofitting the projector.

I've got some gauges and my Quad Lock wireless charger mounted on my dash, I just have to wire it all in.

Timbren bump stops to keep my tires off of my fenders. :dielaugh:

I'm always partial to modding lights, but then again I'm just a little biased on that subject. Nice work, glad to see another EXT getting some love.

Nice work! I once had an EXT and it's what started me on my GMT360/370 journey. Did some mods but not to your level.

And I like the wheels. They're different and contrast nicely with the black body

Just checked out your retrofit thread, very impressive!

Thanks on the wheels, they're not for everybody! :rotfl:
