Your build got my vote for SOTM. A few audio peeps talked about using the console air duct to cool off amp(s) but you did it! That sealed the deal for me.

Thanks MAY03LT I busted my ass with this build and its still going on. Yeah I'm pretty sure I will win SOTM I'm leading by over 20 votes. I appreciate you voting for me if it wasn't for guys like you I wouldn't be in the lead. As for the AC duct it looks like crap but it is very effective I took the ac duct connection in the console since I couldn't use that anymore. If you or anyone has questions just let me know man I'm here not many people are building big things in trailblazers

Never noticed you rerouted the rear AC. I tried doing that as well, but there was zero coming out the other end... Did you add a booster fan?

I have 2 8k's here, not sure if the guy still wants to sell them, but I can check.

Naw man no booster fan yet I can feel a good amount of cold air in the back at the duct work but then again only speed number 5 works on my blower lol. I had to cut the connector piece inside the console to connect the duct with a duct clamp and mirror tape.

That's funny we joined literally on the same date lol.


As for the 8ks are they Kyles that were in the Denali? If so those are 8X model which is 16v verison I have the 12v verison. Unless I can get them for way cheaper then 1500 shipped I will pass that's my cost on them

Thanks JimmyJam. As for Trailblazers I think that's the first ac that was ran to the back. It's so much of a hassle it's almost not even worth it but soon it will be all hid and look nice. I love the alts but the truck don't lol with all the weight and then alts the HP has went out the drain it takes like a mile to get up to 60mph lol. As for loud yeah it's loud it's nothing crazy right now on the power I have but in the next month I plan on adding my 2nd 8k and 7 more batteries

Haha I no what you mean I remember when I had 2 10s in my TB and thought that was the best thing since sliced bread then I actually got into SPL and its been a money pit ever since just like any hobby

So its been a little bit since i updated the log. I recently got some LT rated tires and man my truck drives way better

I also bought a pair of Massive Audio T40 Super Tweets

Then i relocated my mids amp to the side of my box to start freeing up space in the back for more upgrades

I also did some more testing at the headrest and my numbers went up again
