Recently bought an '04 Envoy and I'm wondering if it has an '05 grille. It has the grille with many horizontal bars, but no GMC emblem. It looks like an aftermarket grille, but maybe not. There is a small crease in the hood just above the grille, so I think the original owner (it's a one owner car) must have drove into his work bench and crunched only the grille and a little of the hood (no other damage so must have been slow speed)
Before buying the voy, I researched Envoys online and all the '04's I found had fewer horizontal bars. The '05's I saw had the grille that looks like mine. I'll try to find a picture and post it next.
So, which grille is stock on a 2004?
Also, how does the emblem attach to the grille? Can you buy just the emblem?
