I have read about waking up the modules and you should let it set for awhile. Wouldn't think that would matter much for simple voltage tests on the battery though. Although when looking for a parasitic drain I could see where you could find a drain that really isn't a problem.

I have checked the grounds on the fenders, hood, and around the fuse box. They looked OK to me. Not shiny new, but not all green and corroded either.

I plan to check the voltage at the battery every month or so and see if I notice it dropping.
