i had my awd 4l70e rebuilt around 2 years ago, ran about $3k, had them put in all the good stuff they had. i had gotten a yank ptb3200 converter used, which was opened and cleaned but i didn't know the history. turns out a bearing went in it, the debris chewed up the pump; the trans was shifting fine but the pump was whining. i was quoted around $1200 to repair it and replace all the clutches etc while its open, but I've wanted to go RWD and 4l80 for some time now. so right now i just have the parts laying around. My plan is to find someone interested in the trans/xfer case/front diff/drive shafts, get the trans built at that point and sell it to recoup the money i'm about to drop on the 4l80 conversion (>$5k)
