I have a 2004 Trailblazer and I am trying to figure out which wiring harness I need to install a Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD stereo? I do not have the Bose system. I have Onstar, but I do not use it so it does not matter if it works. I also have the controls on the steering wheel (which I know I have ordered the Axxess ASWC steering wheel control interface for that), but I can not find the right wiring harness. Does ANYONE know which harness I need to do this???? Please HELP

Did you check Crutchfield? They usually list all harnesses needed when you add a HU to cart - assuming you have your vehicle entered. I can't think of what harness you mean, however. When I install a HU (have not done so on a TB yet), I take the wires coming from the HU and manually splice / solder them to the appropriate wires for the speakers. Is that what you mean?

I looked on Crutchfield and it does not list any wiring harness and only lists the steering wheel control interface. When we have replaced stereos on other cars we always buy a wiring harness so the new HU will plug into where the factory HU came out (saves time from cutting and splicing wires). Every harness I have found in stores is not compatible. I was just hoping to find a compatible wiring harness to keep from doing the splicing.

Since you don't mind that the OnStar is not used here is a link to the correct adapter

Thank you! I was wondering if the Scosche GMLAN2SR would work as well? I have been looking for a solution for days and cannot wait to get the stereo installed. I found one on eBay but trying to figure out if I need the one you suggested or the other. I believe the GMLAN2SR retains all chimes, but not sure which is best to get? Here is the link to the Scosche GMLAN2SR. Could you give your take on which one?

So far GMOS-01 or GMOS-04 are the best wire harness for the TB, I replaced my factory installed HU by Pinoeer AVH-1450DVD and working fine without those chime. but I wanted to re-instate those chime as part of safety of car. but unfortunately I am here in Qatar, GMOS is not available here. Even ordering on line is difficult to do. Hope I can find it to my country on my vacation.:frown:

A friend from Philippines told me that PAC OS-2C is more famous in Manila in terms of Radio replacement wire harness. PAS OS-2CBose if you have Bose system. Fortunately there is a sole importer of PAC here in Qatar. I am about to purchase tomorrow and re-instate my Chime. Take note, Even the chime of maximum Speed limit will be vanished without this Radio Replacement wire harness.

Attached here are GMOS-01 and GMOS-04
