The evap canister is located above the spare wheel.

There are seveal connections under there for the evap system. Very hard to say. Could be a bad vent valve, or vent solenoid. A hose may have detached, could be a split line. Good news, these tanks are super easy to drop! I've had mine out about 7 times over 6 years. Lol

Isn't the vapor canister on the frame rail under the drivers seat? The vent valve is on the rear of the tank forward of the spare tire. The lines run across the top of the tank inboard. You can't see them without dropping the tank.

You're thinking about the ABS module.

Didn't realize what year his truck was. Finally figured out where it was in his profile. 02-04 it's in front of the tank, 05+ above the spare wheel. When he said he couldn't find it, and he's a maintenance mechanic, I assumed he would have 05+ because it's hard to find above spare wheel. Thank you very much for pointing this out. Just trying to help.

Yes, lucky US with the early TB and variants. That’s the terrible, lovely place it is mounted. Dumb engineering, they could’ve just put it out back above the spare tire like the later years.
