It supplies power to a pin in the trailer plug for trailers that have a battery.

Yeah....i did.
I guess that's one discussion I have completely missed or forgot about from the OS. The ring terminal was under the tray but I pulled it up for the pic, honestly I don't remember noticing it before.
The way my luck has gone the last week that would have been a ground wire and I know I should have used the meter to confirm anyway.
