When manually or through remote fob, my rear driver side door does not lock or unlock

When i park the truck and close the door and hit lock on my trailblazer, all of the doors lock and the horn sounds except for my rear drivers side door. So i always have to manually lock it everytime im done using the truck. Also have to manually unlock it everytime i want to add a passenger to the rear drivers side.

Also when i use the remote lock unlock that rear drivers side lock makes a sound like a swoosh like somethings not grabbing or something like that.

Any help?

Open up your door and check for a rod in there that is not attached.... Usually they just come off the catch and then the actuator is disconnected from the latch mech.

Thank you and yes theres a rod back there that is actually loose and appears broken.

Do i have to pick this part up in the junk yard or is there a site online i can order and what would be the part name. Thanks.

You can search but I doubt you would find it on the net, junk yard or dealer part most likely...

lock actuator rod? Sounds like what they would call it...
