Whats the harness for?

Harness is on the drivers side, under the panel that has the data port on it.

It connects to the optional ejection seat.

Need a better picture, but if it looks like this one that's under a carpet flap under the rear seat, it's a data communication "splice pack" meant for troubleshooting. Took me a half hour to find it inthe shop manual many years ago. I also got obsessed with finding out what it was for. For extra credit - explain WHY you would have a star connection for data comm wiring.

For faster diagnosis if there is a communication problem with the data bus. With the splice packs you can isolate each modules data circuit from the bus easily and trace shorts/opens in the data circuit to the affected module(s). Or something.
