Today I got rid of the over sized tires that came on my truck and went with factory original size in Continental tires. (man I hated those things) Much better ride and much quieter. Also ordered a new front hub assembly. Oh and I got OnStar activated free for 6 months. :wootwoot:

The old girl needed a drink today, so, I pumped in 18.7 gallons of Minnesota mix winter fuel @$2.99/gallon.

Ordered WeatherTech front & rear floormat set and cargo area mat.

Went for a drive with the Mrs. to do some errands.

On the way home at an intersection near work a Prius just kept creeping forward at the light. They were about halfway into the intersection. The lane ahead of him/her would end in a half block. I figure they wanted to get ahead of me before their lane ended.

Well the light turned green and I decided to see what the PCM 4 Less tune would do.

I left him way behind. And the cars behind also kept the pace up so he couldn't get out of the lane before it ended.

Well I guess I can share my story from yesterday morning. It's not very often I have this kind of fun. 5 am still dark out on a long straight paved road outside of town. I see lights coming up behind me and I'm doing about 95 km/h. When it gets close behind me I realize from the lights it's a Dodge Ram. There was no other cars around at all, soooooo when the Ram got beside me to pass I stepped it up a bit, then he stepped it up a bit....then I floored it and left him behind. Of course when he got back behind me the high beams came on, not a big deal. After a bit I signal and slow down to make a left turn and I can hear his loud exhaust (obviously aftermarket) as he steps on it n keeps going. I can hardly wait till I get my PCM4Less in March. Hey maybe they should have called it PCM 4 MORE (hp).

I replaced the front parking/turn bulbs because they had become almost white. Looks much better now!

Use NA bulbs. The glass itself is amber not coated, so they'll never peel and turn white. Plus they tend to have a little bit richer color because of it.

Good to know. On the bright side I realized it has the release clips on the back of the headlight housing. I've never seen them before even looking for them so no more jamming my hand between the light and battery or air box!

To a new dealer today for fuel level sensor replacement (50/50 warranty). Also they found the oil leak at the engine rear seal, that gets fixed next week under my engine warranty.

Went to parts source and bought a new Gatorback A/C belt ($24.00), put that on and all the squealing is gone now

Changed engine oil.

Also checked exhaust system. TB been very loud for the last month.

Few years ago I changed from a flowmaster back to a brand new stock muffler. Now the muffler has 2 horizontal cracks in it. Hardly any rust on it.

Also took the time to look at the exhaust manifold. Still looks good for 176,500 km.

Just for kicks I removed 1 bolt from the manifold to see what would happen. Came out with no damage.

Just got to use penetrating oil. Did 5 quarter turns out and 2 quarter turns in till it was out. Gotta go slow and easy. Took some time for 1 bolt, imagine 11:crazy:.

Finally the sun came out and the heat wave came through today (31 degrees F ) So I decided to get a few things done on the turbo project.

I removed the A.I.R. system fuses and relays and then I removed the A.I.R. system check-valve solenoid and pump. I cut out all the hoses and then used the A.I.R. block plate I bought from limequat.
View attachment 25818removed A.I.R.

View attachment 25823 Put the new 70.5" Goodyear Gatorback belt in so now it bypasses the A/C Compressor and the idler pulley the voy loves it:yes:

I aimed the fog lights so they do something more than lighting up the parking blocks. I also turned 18 while at a local car show tonight

And to be clear I wasn't showing off my car. My buddy got a genesis coupe yesterday and I met him there

Went to BestBuy and picked this up... AT&T - MiFi Liberate 4G Mobile Hotspot (AT&T) - MIFI5792 specifically to be left in the truck

Then I grabbed a RocketFish cigarette lighter power charger for it, So now I have WIFI (or I guess now they call it MIFI??) in the truck. So all that was like 21 bucks out the door, All I had to pay for was the car charger. The HotSpot was free, well except for the activation fee that will show up on my next bill.

Well today I changed the front driver side wheel bearing hub to eliminate the growling noise. Worked like a charm. rides like a new truck. Got half of it waxed before it decided to start raining. :hissyfit:

I cut 5 inches off bumper and followed the angle in the corners to make room for the 30" intercooler + piping

Moved the 4x4 switch and rear wiper (don't use) to the glove box and moved some gauges to the center console.
The glovebox can fully close and open normally.

View attachment 25868 I just need to use black paint to paint around the gauges where I glued their holders

why the need for another set of resistors? since you have only front switchbacks now, im guessing you used 6ohm resistors? just swap them to 3ohm resistors, and you'll eliminate the need to add another resistor...

I just bought a set for the front and back ( LEDs ) with resistors big gold ones. One set didn't work still had the hyper flash so I installed the ones up front and since I already paid for the rear I'm just going to exchange the old ones with new ones

Nice. I plan to do this this spring. I have the block plate already. Aside from the obvious hoses and the pump, what relays and fuses are related to the AIR system that you pulled out? Also, I'm assuming you don't have the factory intake anyways, so maybe your AIR system already was disconnected from the air box? I need to eventually find a stock air box that doesn't have the hold in the side for the AIR system.

Hi thanks. Yes, I have a aftermarket CAI for the time being but I am converting the whole system over to MAF and an 06 PCM so I can run the turbo this spring.

The fuses/relays related to the system are (front fuse box) 54 / 56 + relay 55

Had to perform a full audio system disconnect when I got home from work today. I've had to deal with a silent commute for the past 2 days, since my new radio decides it doesn't like something and cuts off the audio. After about an hour of troubleshooting and hooking up single connections at a time, it turns out the Knu Koncepts RCA cables going into the sub output were the issue. Plugging them back in while the music played, caused the cut out. :hissyfit: I swapped in the rear channel RCA and all seems fine. For kicks and giggles, put the Knu cables in the rear channels, and nothing cut off this time.

So for the next few days, I'll be riding around with half of my cargo section torn apart for easy access. Hopefully it's just a cabling issue, cuz I'm just outside of the 30 day return policy range. :worried:
