I need me some wheel ramps [emoji14]

$40 for Rhino Ramps at Advanced Auto.
:undecided: Hmm, those would be pretty handy, and much faster than lugging out the jack and stands on some occasions. I'm due for an oil change too in about another month too.

Unless I need to remove the wheels I do most of my work on the ramps.

 How is that even possible? Unless you're one of those every 3,000 mile types

My OLF is at about 30%, changed mine last December.

I change it every 3,000, also change my oil filter every 3,000 too, which might seem redundant to some.

I always change the filter when I change the oil. I'm also due for a change before our Kentucky trip at the end of the month. She'll be loaded down with 6 people for 400 miles each way.

Replaced front sway bar bushings with Moog brand, changed them about a year ago with AC Delco and the drivers side started to fail(?), used my home made ramps that I have been using for over 30 years(10x10) railway ties that I cut with a chainsaw. Also replaced rear end links on my daughters Mazda.

My OLM actually said 55% at 6,000 miles since the last oil change. I could have went 12,000 miles probably, but the oil is pretty black when I drain it at 6,000 miles.

I have noticed since switching from regular Mobil1 full synthetic to Mobil1 High Mileage full synthetic, the OLM % is slower to drop. Regular conventional oil I was at 30% at 6,000 miles.

Are you still using conventional oil or full synthetic? I change the filter everytime as well. Mobil1 oil filters are only $10 so might ad well.

Since I have owned my TB I have always went 6,000 miles in between oil changes.

Every 3,000 miles for an oil change would get expensive. I spent around $91 for 13 quarts of Mobil1 and two Mobil1 oil filters which will cover my TB and the wife's F150.

Yeah man, you can never be too safe. When I am up on ramps, I use two jack stands under the frame for support in case a ramp fails. I also set the parking brake and use chalk blocks behind the rear tires.

I've been using Castrol GTX High Mileage, ever since I've had my Yukon. Haven't decided to go synthetic yet

Never got around to washing the TB, maybe tomorrow on my day off. But used it to back the boat and trailer into the hole beside the garage and out of the driveway. Got it all wrapped up for the winter, anti freeze in the bilge, set the trailer on blocks and removed the battery and tires (I store them in the basement).

One more thing checked off the to-do list!

Looks good man. You going to lose the roof rack? Maybe they could paint your mirror covers while they are doing the bumper

Roof racks will be gone as soon as winter has decided to pack it's shit up and leave lol and I asked them to delete all of the flat black plastic (door handles etc) I'll be color matching everything to the original , but then will be dipping it camo green with back accents in the future so when I do peel it , it's all the same color again.

My buddy said that same thing :/ you two must be crazy lol!! All jokes aside, it really doesn't look bad two tone for now. I'd now worry because I'm dipping it , but he color difference would show dramatically I think under the green.

They'll do a black base anyway before starting the Camo Green. I eventually am getting mine dipped swell, just black or gloss black in the future.

I'm not sure if I want it that dark of a green, so I suggested a white base to them . Tbh I want black but the fiancé keeps negging for a unique look...

They'll probably do 2 coats of white dip as a base. Dip is absolutely perfect to experiment with. Seen some great work. Nothing extra ordinary for TB's yet though. Only seen black and grey done so far

I've only personally seen a Lamborghini dipped, In the monster green I think it's called, it was stunning. After that I was sold, for the cost, there is no alternative.

I have seen it completely stain a Subaru though , so it worried me abit..

Either way, it's an experiment as you said.

Only issues I've experienced with dip is not putting enough layers. It's hard to remove when it's very thin without "dip dissolver". Only had that issue the first time I ever used it. Recently helped a Co-worker get very thin dip off if his Ram's grill. Only seen one fully dipped car in person. Looked good

Wow! Thanks a lot for doing that, I tried that In paint because I have no photoshop, but on paint it was shitty, but it looks alright lol!!

I'm not sure if I'm 100% on it still, but I do have a can of dip and glossifier. May do it for the hell of it…

Thanks again for the quick shop you did.

Here's one with black b and c pillars as well as darker tint on the windows. These were Mounce's ideas from above.

It's not perfect - I'm still one handed for a bit.
