Replacement garage door opener spindle along with some bushings and grease. Also a non digital bathroom scale to measure the weight of the door. Honestly, this scale seems nicer than my old digital one, so will make for a good upgrade

Chain driven, the OEM part was more expensive, but considering I know why/how the sprocket broke, I felt comfortable replacing it with an aftermarket set.

Not in the mail, but picked up my pair of torsion springs for the garage door. Here they are next to their predecessor. The carboard box they were in was beat to high hell, but that always seems to happen with heavy metal objects and no cushioning.

Wanted to upgrade the runtime on the battery backup that handles my HTPC, which also runs the cameras around my house. Got a 24V 100Ah battery to replace the pair of 12V 35Ah AGMs I picked up a few years ago. The weight difference still amazes me, this big boy is lighter than the pair of smaller ones.

Picked up a dual fuel generator on an early Black Friday deal, that got delivered today. Sitting in adult time out for 5 days without power after hurricane Milton was the wake up call I needed, since I had been so lucky in years/storms past.

I bought 2x 13.5KVA generators for the water wells at various friends' homes for when the power grid dies -- it will, ya know!

I figured on gasoline only since it will be as available as anything else -- more mebbee - because diesel is a problem at -25°F if it isn't preheated at least to 40°F.

We get cold in Montana.

Be sure to keep the gas tank full to the top!

That way it won't "breathe" and inhale moisture from the atmosphere.

Don't bother with gasoline preservatives -- most form a paraffin wax skin on top of the gasoline - and if you move the unit, that ruins the atmospheric seal. Be warned about that!

The wax skin works fine --- just don't disturb it --- somehow.

I also just bought a Firman T09371 tri-fuel to be able to hook it up to my house natural gas to run indefinitely. Wattage is 11,600 starting/9300 running on gas, 10,400/8300 on propane and 8650/6900 on NG. This thing will be able to run my old stick welder! It's replacing an old Princess Auto 6500/5500 gas only. It still runs good and was able to power most of the house except for the A/C. With this new beast, I'll be able to run the whole house and is actually quieter that the old genny. Just have to upgrade my 30A plug-in to 50A.



It's normally $1400CAD but got it on sale for $999CAD, same price as the lower wattage version at Costco.

That's a good deal --- and those outputs variety from less and less BTU-fuels is very powerful testimony of why we don't drive on Natural Gas unless it's liquified.

We've only had a slight Cold Spell over this last week... But whenever such things happen down here in Florida... and your Battery is approaching the "Magical 36 Months" EOL Time Line... THAT is good time to replace it.

So I double checked the stats on my Wife's 2013 Nissan Altima 3.5L Coupe and ordered a New AGM Battery and included what just arrived today: The Two Galvanized Steel Replacement Post Connectors.

These are made of Plated Steel, and so they WILL set up Galvanic Corrosion over time, since they are NOT made out of the Typical Cast Lead (Pb) Style for most NA connectors... it's a Good Idea to swap them both out at the same time a New Battery gets installed:

Due to my own bone headedness, I needed to replace the 50' HDMI cable running through my attic across the vaulted ceiling, to connect my HTPC to my living room TV. Caught a cyber Monday sale on a fiber optic, high speed, directional one. I probably don't need anything close to this, but why not!!
